4:30 AM – Pick-Up from Your Hotel

We’ll start the day early with private transportation picking you up from your hotel. Our journey begins as we head toward the district of Acomayo (Pitumarca).

6:30 AM – Andean Breakfast

Arrive in Acomayo to enjoy a hearty Andean breakfast, preparing you for the adventure.

Scenic Drive – Pomacanchi Lagoon

On the way to the hike’s starting point, we’ll pass by the stunning Pomacanchi Lagoon, surrounded by lush meadows and cultivated fields. This impressive lagoon is one of the largest in the region.

Hike to Waqrapukara

The hike begins at a designated starting point and takes approximately 3 hours. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Andean mountains, fascinating rock formations, and local flora and wildlife.

12:00 PM – Explore Waqrapukara

Arrive at the Waqrapukara archaeological site by midday. After a brief rest, our expert guide will lead a detailed tour of this incredible fortress, sharing its history and significance. You’ll also have free time to explore the site and take photos.

Return to Pitumarca and Lunch

After exploring Waqrapukara, we’ll hike back to Pitumarca, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you.

Return to Cusco
